Recruiting in Sydney. Fermax Australia Pty Ltd, seeks a full time, professional and reliable Installation and Service Technician who is competent with Electronic Equipment.
The successful candidate will be a trades worker with a background in security systems including audio-visual appliances and alarms, home automation, network and IT security solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Installation, servicing, and maintenance of a range of electronic equipment including:
- Video and dio Fermax Intercom systems
- Access Control Systems such as; FERMAX, Bosch, Innerrange, Tecom.
- Fermvision IP CCTV
- Commercial and Home Alarms
· Assess customer site and install and cable the equipment, this may include crawling in roofs cavities and accessing down walls in order to power and network these systems
· Modifying/customizing security products to meet customer needs.
· Test and repair of electronic security equipment, either prototype or faulty equipment.
· Duplications of site faults and develop electronic solutions.
· Ensure all electronic equipment and security systems confirms and operate according to Australian standards.
· Set up network configurations for IP security equipment
· Providing ongoing troubleshooting and technical support to clients.
· Liaising with key customers on technical and service matters, ensuring the highest level of customer service is maintained.
· Travel within our service areas
· Managing work orders and logging records of services and faults
· Provide quotations for installation or service jobs
· Enter instructions and test wired and wireless security systems
· Document and apply measures to control OHS risks associated with electrotechnology work
· Determining correct operation of single source D.C. series and parallel circuits and providing solutions as they apply to various electrotechnology work functions.
· problem solving procedures, including the use of voltage, current and resistance measuring devices, providing solutions derived from measurements and calculations to predictable problems in single and multiple path circuits.
· Applying safe use of hand, fixed and portable power tools; perform basic fitting and fabrication of systems including cutting, shaping joining and fixing using metallic and non-metallic materials; dismantling and assembling equipment; basic mechanical measurement and marking-out and reading drawings/diagrams.
Required Skills/Experience:
· Relevant Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV level qualification, or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
· Previous experience in Security system installation or similar electronic equipment
· Exceptional customer service skills, with strong ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities
· Strong time-management skills
Salary: $75,000-80,000+ Superannuation
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
