About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Support Workers to join our growing team in Ipswich and surrounding areas.
You will provide personalised, one‑on‑one care to elderly clients in their homes, supporting daily living, wellbeing, and social connection.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Provide domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, meal preparation)
- Support with shopping, errands, and transport to appointments
- Provide social support and companionship
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers
- Observe and report changes in clients’ condition to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
- Deliver care that is respectful, person‑centred, and culturally sensitive
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability, or Community) or working towards
- Experience in aged care, disability, or community support (desirable)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, respectful, and professional approach to care
Desirable
- Manual handling training
- Availability for flexible hours, including mornings and occasional weekends
