Experienced Disability Support Workers – Personal Care & Overnight Shifts

Kazz & Co is seeking reliable, compassionate and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing Bendigo team.
We have regular casual shifts available across a 24-hour, seven-day roster. We are particularly seeking applicants who can work a combination of:
- Day and afternoon shifts
- Weekends
- Active overnight shifts
- Inactive overnight/sleepover shifts
Applicants must be comfortable providing personal care and supporting participants with complex needs. Experience with hoist transfers, Supported Independent Living (SIL) and overnight supports will be highly regarded.
About the role
You will support participants with physical, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities to live safely, independently and meaningfully.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Completing manual handling and hoist transfers
- Supporting participants with meals, household tasks and daily routines
- Assisting with community access, appointments and recreational activities
- Encouraging independence, confidence and skill development
- Supporting participants during active overnight and inactive sleepover shifts
- Following participant support plans and risk-management procedures
- Completing accurate progress notes, incident reports and other documentation
- Communicating professionally with participants, families and the broader support team
What we are looking for
Successful applicants will ideally have:
- Previous disability support experience
- Experience providing personal care
- Experience with hoists and manual handling
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support or a related field
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- A current Victorian driver’s licence
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- A professional, compassionate and person-centred approach
- The ability to work independently, take initiative and respond calmly to changing needs
Applicants must be available for a genuine range of shifts. This position may not be suitable for applicants seeking only school-hour work, occasional shifts or very limited availability.
