Position Brief — WMS Applications Support Analyst
Manhattan WMi 2016
ROLE PURPOSE
This role provides first and second-level application support for Manhattan WMi 2016, the warehouse management system. The analyst will triage and resolve incidents, execute standard requests and changes within defined runbooks, and maintain system stability across DC sites.
The role sits within the Technology Supply Chain team and operates under the WMS Lead. It requires strong IBM i (AS/400) platform knowledge alongside hands-on WMi application experience.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Respond to WMi application incidents within defined SLA targets (P1/P2/P3), performing initial triage, resolution, or structured escalation
- Execute pre-approved standard requests to WMi configuration — including user access, location management, transporter setup, and document rules — using approved runbooks
- Manage user access provisioning and security role maintenance across all DC sites
- Maintain accurate records in ServiceNow; contribute to knowledge articles and runbook development
- Support warehouse users and operations teams with application queries; distinguish system faults from process or operator issues
- Participate in P1/P2 bridge calls and contribute to post-incident root cause analysis documentation
- Coordinate standard change scheduling with site operations teams, respecting change freeze and blackout periods
- Lodge and support management of cases with Manhattan Associates, providing technical detail to accelerate resolution
- Monitor application interfaces, bridges and queues
- Monitor IDocs between SAP & WMi
- Monitor CIF queues between SAP ECC & SCM
- Identify & resolve interface failures, ensuring seamless data flow across systems (SAP, WMi & WCS)
- Monitor SOH mismatches between SAP & WMi to ensure stock integrity, working with the 7 sites for investigation, root cause analysis & resolution
