Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and licensed electrician to undertake onsite electrical installation, maintenance, repair, and service works. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing assigned electrical tasks safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard while complying with Australian electrical standards and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend assigned job sites as scheduled.
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, repair, and service works.
- Install and maintain GPOs, power outlets, switches, cabling, and electrical equipment.
- Inspect work areas and identify electrical requirements, hazards, or site issues.
- Complete electrical work safely and in accordance with applicable Australian standards and regulations.
- Test completed electrical work to ensure it is safe and operational.
- Coordinate with clients, project coordinators, technicians, and other trades as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Take before-and-after photos and complete required job documentation.
- Report any additional work, issues, or requirements identified onsite.
- Complete assigned jobs efficiently and ensure high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current and valid Australian Electrical Licence.
- Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and service work.
- Experience with GPOs, power outlets, switches, cabling, and electrical equipment.
- Good knowledge of Australian electrical standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Own electrical tools and reliable transportation.
- Smartphone for communication, job photos, and documentation.
- Current Public Liability Insurance and relevant insurance coverage.
- Commercial, residential, or field-service experience is highly desirable.
Pay: From $33.50 per hour
