About the role This is retrofit insulation — removing old, worn-out insulation and installing new, in occupied homes. You'll work with our custom truck-mounted HEPA filter extraction machine: one person runs the machine from the truck, the other works in the roof, and you swap throughout the day. No one's stuck in the roof cavity all shift — the rotation is built into how we run the job.
Full training provided — no prior insulation experience required, just a solid work ethic and reliability.
We're also open to hiring in pairs. If you and a mate both want work, apply together — you're basically applying for a ready-made 2-person crew, machine operator and roof worker, swapping roles all day.
What you need
- A current driver's licence
- Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check (required for our government contract sites)
- Comfortable working in roof cavities and confined spaces
- Reliability and a good attitude — this is hands-on physical work
- Willingness to work as part of a rotating 2-person team
What we provide
- Company truck (our custom HEPA extraction unit) and all tools — you're not using your own gear
- Full onboarding: we'll set you up and get you going on the truck and the retrofit process, no experience needed
- Ongoing work — this is not a short-term gig
