About the Role
We are seeking qualified individuals holding a current Australian Government security clearance (
Baseline or
NV1) to act as Security Escorts at secure government and military facilities across the Canberra region. In this role, you will be responsible for chaperoning uncleared tradespeople and contractors to ensure the integrity and security of the site is maintained at all times.
We have
multiple positions available offering an immediate start with a guaranteed minimum of eight months of continuous work.
Key Responsibilities
- Escort and Chaperone: Accompany tradespeople to and from their designated worksites within secure defence and government facilities.
- Site Monitoring: Ensure all contractors remain within their approved work zones for the duration of the workday.
- Operational Support: Assist workers with basic worksite set-up and clean-up activities as required.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Department of Defence security protocols and site-specific guidelines.
Position Details
- Location: Canberra, ACT
- Commencement: Immediate start available
- Remuneration: $34.00 to $42.00 per hour, processed weekly
- Duration: Minimum 8-month contract (multiple positions available)
Mandatory Requirements To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Security Clearance: Must hold an active Australian Government Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
- Site Access: Must hold, or have previously held, a Defence Common Access Card (DCAC).
- Industry White Card: General Construction Induction Training card (essential, though candidates willing to obtain this prior to mobilisation will be considered).
- Safety Training: Work Health and Safety certificates in Silica Awareness and Asbestos Awareness (essential, though training can be facilitated upon engagement).
- Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit and capable of managing standard on-site movement and light manual handling.
- Logistics: Possession of a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licence.
