About the role
The Radiographer Educator provides specialised clinical education, leadership and professional support for undergraduate students and radiographers, with a particular focus on new and recent graduates within the Medical Imaging Department at The Prince Charles Hospital and Metro North Satellite Health Centres. The role combines advanced clinical practice with the development and delivery of educational programs that support workforce capability and high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will coordinate education and competency programs, provide clinical supervision and mentoring, support research and service development initiatives, and contribute to professional development activities across multiple imaging modalities. The role also plays a key leadership function in driving clinical education improvements, policy development and change management within Medical Imaging Services.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Deliver specialist clinical education, supervision, training and competency assessment for undergraduate students and radiography staff across Medical Imaging Services.
Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs that support student learning and workforce development.
Provide advanced clinical advice and leadership regarding radiography practice, service delivery and clinical service improvement initiatives.
Support and lead clinical research, professional development activities and evidence-based education practices across multiple imaging modalities.
Facilitate performance development, professional supervision and change management initiatives that enhance clinical capability and service quality.
