Junior Pizza Chef / Pizza Hand – Full-Time
Hungry Italiano is a small, family-owned restaurant in Terrigal, and we’re looking for a hardworking Junior Pizza Chef/Pizza Hand to join our team ahead of the busy spring and summer season.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn, work hard and develop their pizza-making skills under an experienced pizza chef.
The role includes:
- Preparing ingredients and completing kitchen prep during the day
- Opening and shaping pizza dough using a dough roller
- Supporting our Pizza Chef with toppings, cooking and service
- Working as a Pizza Hand during dinner service from 5 pm
- Keeping the pizza section clean, organised and fully stocked
- Helping the wider kitchen team wherever needed
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a strong work ethic, grit and a genuine can-do attitude
- Is dependable, punctual and takes their responsibility to the team seriously
- Is willing to learn and take direction
- Can work quickly and stay calm during busy services
- Takes pride in cleanliness, presentation and consistency
- Lives locally and has reliable transport to Terrigal
- Is genuinely available for full-time work
Availability is required Wednesday to Sunday, between 11:00 am and 9:30 pm, with rostered hours and breaks arranged in accordance with the applicable award.
Previous pizza or kitchen experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important. Training will be provided to the right person.
We are a small team, so everyone must be willing to work hard, support each other and turn up ready to contribute.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
