Join the Tangerine Team at Te Akau Racing
Te Akau Racing is currently seeking an experienced, passionate, hardworking, and reliable Stable Hand to join our Cranbourne team.
Please note: This position is only suitable for applicants with previous horse handling and stable experience. Due to the nature of the role, we are not accepting applications from individuals without relevant industry experience.
- Cleaning and maintaining horse boxes to a high standard.
- Feeding and watering horses in accordance with daily care routines.
- Assisting with horses during morning track work and exercise routines.
- Saddling, swimming, hosing, grooming, and providing daily care and maintenance for each horse.
- Attending race days and barrier trials, including performing strapping duties.
- Carrying out general stable cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Working effectively both independently and as part of a professional team.
- Previous experience working in a racing stable or similar equine environment.
- Confident horse handling skills and a strong understanding of horse care and welfare.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and race days as required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
