Boddington is a flagship Newmont gold and copper operation in Western Australia, located about 130 kilometres south-east of Perth and 16 kilometres from the rural town of Boddington. Your impact
As a Supervisor Projects Planning, you'll lead planning activities that support the successful delivery of the South32 interface project and associated infrastructure initiatives at Newmont Boddington Gold. Working across technical, operational and project teams, you will develop integrated plans, manage project priorities and provide technical leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in alignment with site objectives.

Lead and mentor planning personnel, providing technical guidance and support across project and infrastructure planning activities.

Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules and infrastructure strategies, ensuring alignment between Newmont and South32 operational requirements.

Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, forecasts and budgets to support project evaluation, approval and delivery.

Collaborate with Operations, Technical Services, contractors and consultants to coordinate project activities and manage critical project interfaces.

Identify, assess and mitigate project risks while preparing reports, forecasts and milestone updates for stakeholders and senior leaders.
Prerequisites for your success in the role
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.

Demonstrated experience in mine planning, infrastructure planning, project planning or project coordination within mining, civil construction or heavy industry environments.

Experience managing project scopes, schedules, contractors, consultants and project delivery outcomes.

Strong commercial acumen with experience in project budgeting, forecasting, cost estimation and risk management.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Work Environment
This role operates on a 5/2, 4/3 roster and is based at Boddington Gold Mine, one of Australia's largest open-pit gold mining operations.
Village accommodation is available for the successful candidate, with the option to live locally and commute daily under a Drive In / Drive Out (DIDO) arrangement.
Reporting to the Superintendent Medium Term Planning, you will work closely with Technical Services, Operations, Geology, Geotechnical and Project teams to support infrastructure and project planning activities across the operation. You will also provide leadership and technical guidance to planning personnel while partnering with contractors and key stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
