National Clinical and Quality Data Manager
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic individual with proven experience in clinical and quality data management to join the national Clinical Governance Team. This is a full-time permanent role.
Reporting to the National Director Clinical Governance, you are responsible for ensuring effective systems and processes are in place that support clinical and quality data collection, analysis and reporting throughout Healthscope. This includes the administration of relevant clinical and quality platforms associated with clinical and quality performance data. The role assists hospitals and services to deliver high quality and safe care and to improve clinical and quality performance and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for operating an effective risk management framework.

Develop and deliver risk workshops, facilitate risk assessments, develop and test risk mitigation plans.

Lead periodic risk reporting for Executive Leadership Team, Audit Risk and Compliance Committee, and the Board.

Provide risk advice across hospital operations, major projects, and functions.

Work with the wider risk community (including Clinical and WHS) to provide an enterprise view of risk.

Support the enhancement of risk management practices, policies, and systems.

Develop close working relationships with key business stakeholders.

Support the Internal Audit and Compliance program where required.
Your experience:
High level skills in IT systems, platforms and apps
Experience with quality management systems
Experience working within a healthcare environment
Accreditation experience with national safety and quality health service standards (or other)
Project management, either as lead or participant, including the implementation and evaluation of improvement activities
Conducting audits (observational, interview or documentation)
Established and managed relationships with key stakeholders, networks, and customers
Collection, aggregation, and analysis of data, and prepare and present reports.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to adapt leadership styles in different situations
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team or autonomously
Demonstrated capacity to initiate and manage change processes, collaborating with all stakeholders to implement new concepts
Ability to coach, educate and support others to achieve desired outcomes
Ability to understand when, and to whom concerns and risks should be escalated
Attention to detail with excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Adaptable and flexible approach to problem solving
Ability to implement and evaluate improvement activities and projects
Ability to travel interstate from time to time.
Essential Criteria:
Relevant degree in Health Information Management, informatics or other data management related qualification
If primary qualification is not in Health Information Systems, then healthcare experience is mandatory.
