As a Civil Engineer in Perth, you'll contribute to a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects across the mining, water, transport and defence sectors. You'll work within our Transport, Water, Environment & Land team, supporting the delivery of innovative engineering solutions while developing your technical expertise in a collaborative consulting environment.
Deliver civil design solutions – undertake civil engineering design and analysis across roads, earthworks, drainage, utilities and other non-process infrastructure projects, supporting project delivery from concept through to detailed design.
Prepare technical documentation – contribute to the preparation of engineering calculations, technical reports, design drawings and project documentation, ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate across disciplines – work closely with engineers, designers and drafters from multiple disciplines to resolve interfaces, identify constraints and develop practical solutions for complex projects.
Support project delivery – provide technical input to a broad range of projects, including mining infrastructure, water projects, transport infrastructure and defence-related works, contributing to successful project outcomes.
Engage with stakeholders – collaborate with internal teams, clients and external authorities to understand project requirements, discuss design solutions and support informed decision-making.
Build your expertise – develop your technical and consulting skills through exposure to a wide variety of projects, supported by experienced leaders and a strong culture of mentoring and professional growth.
You combine strong technical capability with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn. You enjoy solving problems, working across different sectors and contributing to meaningful infrastructure outcomes. You'll also have:
A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Approximately 5+ years of experience delivering civil infrastructure design projects within a consulting or design environment.
Demonstrated experience in roads, earthworks, drainage, utilities and general civil infrastructure projects. Understanding of relevant client and industry standards, including those used by Main Roads WA, Public Transport Authority, energy and resources sector clients, local government authorities and service authorities.
Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to project delivery outcomes.
Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work.
Experience using civil engineering design software such as 12d, Drains and AutoCAD (desirable).
Australian citizenship or the ability to obtain relevant security clearances is advantageous due to the nature of some projects.
Chartered status with Engineers Australia (desirable but not essential).
