Hotel Mosman is seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.
Hotel Mosman is a busy hospitality venue located in Mosman, NSW, offering a broad bistro-style menu including steaks, schnitzels, burgers, seafood dishes, salads and other traditional Australian pub meals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, season and cook a variety of food items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist with planning and preparation of menu items for lunch and dinner service.
- Ensure food quality, consistency and portion control standards are maintained.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment including grills, ovens, fryers and food preparation equipment.
- Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to ensure compliance with food safety requirements.
- Inspect food supplies and ingredients for quality and freshness.
- Assist with stock control, stock rotation and minimisation of food wastage.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Work effectively with other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
Requirements
- Relevant commercial cookery qualification and/or demonstrated commercial kitchen experience.
- Ability to prepare and cook a broad range of bistro-style menu items.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Strong organisational and teamwork skills.
Salary: $78,000 – $80,500 per annum plus superannuation
Pay: $78,000.00 – $80,500.00 per year
