HitIQ is looking for a Marketing, Community & Content Coordinator to join our growing sports technology team in South Melbourne.
You’ll be working on PROTEQT — HitIQ’s smart mouthguard and impact monitoring platform focused on concussion management, brain health and player welfare across grassroots and elite sport.
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely understands sport, club environments, community activation, athlete culture and social-first content. This is not a standard desk-based marketing role.
The role will support content creation, social media, grassroots activations, school and club engagement, ambassador activity, PR campaigns, partnerships and events.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and capturing social media content across grassroots and elite sport
- Supporting short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other channels
- Attending club, school and community sport activations
- Capturing authentic stories from players, parents, coaches and clubs
- Supporting ambassador, athlete and partner content opportunities
- Assisting with PR, media and campaign activity
- Helping coordinate partnership rollouts with clubs, schools, leagues and sporting organisations
- Supporting event and activation planning
- Helping manage content calendars and campaign schedules
We’re looking for someone early in their career who already has strong exposure to sport, content creation, community engagement or club environments.
You may have experience as a player, coach, volunteer, club administrator, content creator, social media coordinator, marketing assistant, sports journalist, media student or community sport coordinator.
You should have:
- A genuine love and understanding of sport
- Strong knowledge of grassroots and community sport culture
- Interest in AFL, AFLW, NRL, basketball, hockey, NFL and school sport
- Confidence filming and capturing content
- Strong communication and people skills
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to work with athletes, parents, clubs, schools and sporting partners
- Willingness to attend weekend sport and community activations when required
- Basic editing skills using Canva, CapCut, Adobe, TikTok, Instagram or similar tools would be highly regarded
This is a full-time hybrid role based in South Melbourne. Weekend work will be required at times, with time-in-lieu flexibility available during the week.
