A Livestock Specialist at Elders works with farmers and livestock producers to help them buy, sell, market, and improve the productivity of their livestock operations. The role combines sales, client relationship management, livestock knowledge, and business development.
Typical responsibilities:
Advising clients on livestock production and marketing.
Building relationships with cattle, sheep, and other livestock producers.
Organising livestock sales and purchases.
Assessing livestock quality and market value.
Helping clients improve profitability through feeding, breeding, animal health, and production strategies.
Attending saleyards, auctions, and on-farm visits.
Growing Elders' livestock business within a territory.
Skills and qualifications:
Knowledge of the livestock or agricultural industry.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build long-term client relationships.
Experience handling livestock is highly valued.
Driver's licence and willingness to travel in rural areas.
Pay: $7,100.00 – $9,200.00 per month
