About the Role
BMX Burgers is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Cook to join our growing team in Umina Beach. This hands-on role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is capable of supporting both kitchen and customer service operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble, and cook burgers and other menu items to company standards
- Assist with daily food preparation, including portioning, ingredient preparation, and kitchen setup
- Ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures
- Assist with stock rotation, stock control, and delivery checks
- Support front-of-house operations when required, including customer interaction and order taking
- Process customer orders using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, fast food, takeaway, café, or restaurant environments is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Understanding of food handling, preparation techniques, and hygiene requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused attitude
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
