We are a busy function venue looking for an enthusiastic Bowls Instructor & Hospitality All-Rounder to join our team. As our venue operates primarily around bookings and events, hours will vary week to week — making this the perfect role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As our Bowls Instructor, you will be the face of the bowling experience — bringing energy, enthusiasm and personality to every group that walks through our doors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up, coordinating and delivering engaging bowls sessions for guests of all skill levels
- Welcoming and guiding groups throughout their experience, ensuring they are having fun and getting the most out of their time on the green
- Transitioning smoothly between groups, resetting and preparing the space for the next booking
- Assisting behind the bar, running food and providing general hospitality support between sessions
- Communicating effectively with management and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
- Contributing ideas around how to elevate the bowls experience and develop additional events and activations at the venue
- Learning venue opening and closing procedures as part of your ongoing responsibilities
What We Are Looking For
- A big, vibrant personality with natural confidence in front of groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine team player who can collaborate across departments
- Previous hospitality experience is an advantage
- Experience with lawn bowls is a bonus, but not essential — we are happy to train the right person!
- Flexibility to work varying hours based on event bookings
