Macquarie Geotechnical is a Geotechnical Consulting / Drilling & Construction Materials Testing company working on road, rail and mining infrastructure projects throughout Australia. We maintain a fleet of modern drill rigs, support equipment and tools that are at the forefront of the industry.
We are currently seeking Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists with 2-5 years' experience to join our team.
Responsibilities include:

Undertaking geotechnical investigations, consisting of drilling rig supervision and undertaking test pitting.

Geotechnical inspections consisting of proof roll, stripping and pile inspections.

Assisting with geophysical investigations, includes seismic refraction, magnetic surveys, electrical resistivity, downhole imagery ATV/ OTV.

Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues, subcontractor, sub-consultants and clients.

Preparation of factual reports.
To be successful for the position you must have the following experience:

Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering/ Engineering Geology.

Knowledge and experience using gINT and Holebase.

Understanding of AS1726 requirements.

Minimum 2 years site investigation experience.

Ability to work within a team environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Numerical, analytical and observation skills.

Ability to problem solve.

An interest in developing both technical and project management skills

A current drivers licence.
