We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and results driven Business Development Executive to join our Sales team and drive revenue growth across Stamford Plaza Adelaide and Stamford Grand Adelaide.

About the role
Reporting to the Area Director of Sales, you will play a key role in generating new business while maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients.
You will proactively identify sales opportunities across corporate accommodation, meetings and events, conferences, food and beverage, group accommodation, and leisure markets, helping to maximise revenue for both Stamford Plaza Adelaide and Stamford Grand Adelaide.
Working closely with the Sales and operational teams, you will conduct sales calls, client meetings, networking events, site inspections and presentations while preparing tailored proposals that convert enquiries into confirmed business.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the market, developing long-term client relationships, and contributing to the commercial success of two of Adelaide's leading hotels.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across corporate, government, conference and leisure markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Conduct proactive sales calls, client meetings and networking activities.
Coordinate and conduct hotel site inspections.
Prepare proposals, quotations and contracts to convert business opportunities.
Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall departmental KPIs.
Maximise revenue opportunities across accommodation, conferencing, events and food and beverage.
Maintain accurate client records within Delphi and other sales systems.
Monitor competitor activity and identify new market opportunities.
Work collaboratively with Revenue, Conference & Events, Reservations and Operations to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Represent Stamford Hotels professionally at industry events and networking functions.
Participate in sales meetings and contribute ideas to improve business performance.
About you
You are a motivated and enthusiastic sales professional who enjoys building lasting client relationships and achieving measurable results.
You will also bring:
Previous experience in a Business Development Executive, Sales Executive, Business Development Coordinator or similar sales role.
Hospitality, hotel, tourism or conferencing experience (highly desirable).
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
High level of organisation with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-motivated with a proactive and positive attitude.
Experience using Delphi and Opera (desirable).
