Fresh Point Co. Café in Bellamack, NT is expanding and seeking passionate individuals to join our dynamic and energetic team, customer-focused and experienced Bar Attendant to join our hospitality team in Darwin. This full-time permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced and professional hospitality environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with responsible service practices.
- Greet customers, take beverage orders and provide friendly, efficient customer service.
- Recommend drinks and menu items based on customer preferences.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process cash, EFTPOS and credit card transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar, service areas and equipment.
- Restock beverages, glassware and bar supplies as required.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
- Check customer identification to ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws.
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and cleaning duties.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and floor staff to deliver excellent customer experiences.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve service issues professionally.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum one year of relevant experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel or hospitality venue.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (or ability to obtain before commencement).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of beverages, cocktails, beer, wine and basic bar operations.
