Kinder Caring is seeking experienced, self-motivated and compassionate podiatrists to provide in-home foot and lower-limb assessment, treatment and care to older people, people with disability and other clients across the Lake Macquarie area NSW.
This opportunity is suitable for both individual podiatry contractors and small podiatry practices looking to expand their in-home client base. It is ideal for podiatrists who value professional autonomy, flexibility and meaningful, client-centred work—whether you want to grow your practice or complement your existing client commitments.
About the opportunity
Provide personalised podiatry services to aged care, NDIS, insurance-funded and private clients, supporting their mobility, comfort, safety and independence at home and in the community.
Through the Kinder Caring App, approved podiatrists can select their preferred service areas, view and choose client opportunities that suit their availability, clinical experience and business capacity, and set their own rates subject to any applicable maximum rates for the relevant service or funding arrangement.
Opportunities may include regular, short-term and one-off services.

Podiatry services may include
- Assessing foot and lower-limb health, function, circulation, sensation and mobility
- Providing routine foot and nail care, including the treatment of corns and calluses
- Assessing and managing foot pain, biomechanical concerns and mobility-related issues
- Providing diabetic and high-risk foot assessments, treatment and education
- Recommending suitable footwear, orthoses, pressure-relieving products or other equipment
- Reviewing outcomes and preparing required treatment plans, clinical reports, recommendations and referrals
Contractor responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based and person-centred podiatry services within your professional scope of practice
- Complete appropriate assessments and deliver services in accordance with the client’s agreed goals and service requirements
- Exercise independent professional and clinical judgement and obtain informed consent
- Maintain accurate, timely and complete clinical records
- Follow applicable infection prevention, instrument reprocessing, sharps and clinical-waste requirements
- Treat clients respectfully and maintain their dignity, privacy and confidentiality
- Use the Kinder Caring App to record attendance and complete required service notes
- Promptly report incidents, risks, complaints and material changes affecting the client or service
- Comply with applicable professional standards, codes, legislation and funding requirements
- Maintain all required registrations, screening clearances, competencies and insurances
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A recognised qualification in podiatry
- Current general registration as a podiatrist with AHPRA, without conditions that prevent the provision of the relevant services
- Relevant podiatry experience, preferably involving community, aged care, disability, high-risk foot care or home-based services
- The ability to assess clients and practise independently in home and community settings
- An active ABN and the legal right to work and provide services in Australia, together with appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance and workers compensation insurance where applicable
- A current National Police Check and any required role- or client-specific clearances, including an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain them
- Reliable transport to travel between clients’ homes across [region], including a valid driver licence and appropriately registered and insured vehicle where required
- Access to appropriate clinical equipment and instruments, together with compliant infection-control, instrument-reprocessing and clinical-waste arrangements
- A smartphone with reliable internet access
- Strong clinical documentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- A reliable, respectful and client-focused approach
- Two relevant professional or business references
Where a podiatry practice uses employees or other personnel to provide services, each treating podiatrist must satisfy Kinder Caring’s applicable registration, screening, competency, onboarding and service requirements.
