Position Title
Student Wellbeing Support Officer
The Student Wellbeing Support Officer works collaboratively with school staff, students, families and external agencies to promote student wellbeing, engagement and inclusion. The role aims to support students to develop positive relationships, resilience, self-regulation skills and engagement in learning, ensuring every student is supported to thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
Key Responsibilities
Student Support

Build positive and trusting relationships with students across the school.

Provide targeted check-ins and wellbeing support for identified students.

Facilitate individual and small-group wellbeing sessions.
-
Support students to develop emotional regulation, social skills and resilience.
-
Assist students to successfully engage in classroom learning and school activities.

Support students during transitions, including entry to school and movement between year levels.
Wellbeing Programs

Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of whole-school wellbeing initiatives.

Support the delivery of social and emotional learning programs.
-
Promote positive behaviour and restorative practices across the school.

Contribute to activities that foster student connectedness, belonging and inclusion.
Family Engagement

Work collaboratively with families to support student wellbeing and engagement.

Participate in meetings with parents and carers where appropriate.

Maintain positive and professional communication with families.
