Your New Role
The Member Engagement, Education and Advice (MEEA) division sits at the heart of our vision to be most trusted choice for super, advice and retirement. The Financial Crime Unit, within the Business Risk & Compliance team, plays a pivotal role in achieving that purpose.
Join the Financial Crime team and play a key role in protecting members and the organisation from fraud, money laundering, sanctions breaches and emerging financial crime threats. This is an opportunity to combine investigations, risk management and data analytics expertise to strengthen prevention and detection capabilities while driving continuous improvement across the financial crime function. Your role will include:
- Lead high-quality, end-to-end investigations into fraud, scams, AML/CTF, sanctions and other financial crime matters.
- Manage complex cases, ensuring investigations are thorough, evidence-based and meet regulatory expectations.
- Identify control weaknesses, emerging threats and process weaknesses, drive effective escalation pathways, and implement sustainable improvements to reduce financial crime risk.
- Use data, trend analysis, root cause reviews and lessons learned to strengthen prevention capabilities and reduce repeat incidents.
Improve fraud detection, workflow management, case quality, reporting, operational controls and management visibility.
- Contribute to automation, analytics and technology uplift initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Financial Crime Operations.
Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Compliance and Technology to deliver better member and risk outcomes.
