The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, professional Building Manager with a tertiary qualification in Engineering (or a closely related discipline) to oversee the day-to-day operations of a flagship residential building in the Sydney CBD.
This is a rare opportunity to take stewardship of an exceptional, high-profile asset within a well-structured and supportive management environment.
The role is supported by dedicated on-site administrative assistant and a highly capable broader management team, including an Operations Manager, Relationship Manager, General Manager, and central Administrative Support.
While the position offers a high degree of autonomy and professional responsibility, you will never be operating in isolation. Our structure is deliberately designed to provide expert guidance, clear escalation pathways, and strong operational backing.
Importantly, this role supports genuine work–life balance. After-hours calls are managed centrally, ensuring that once you finish for the day, you can truly disconnect
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all aspects of building operations and maintenance.
- BMC management and operations
- Manage service providers, contractors, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Build positive relationships with residents, strata committees, and owners corporations.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, fire safety, and building regulations.
- Prepare reports, assist with budgeting, and support capital works planning.
- Represent BMA with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to quality service.

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Building Manager, Facilities Manager, or similar.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to maintenance and resident satisfaction.
- Sound knowledge of WHS, compliance, and contractor management.
- Professional presentation and attention to detail.
