Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Contract Administrator to join our team and support the administration and coordination of construction projects.
Position Overview
The Contract Administrator will play a key role in supporting the commercial and contractual management of construction projects. The role involves contract administration, project documentation control, contractor coordination, progress tracking, compliance management, and supporting project delivery outcomes in line with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, reviewing, and administering construction contracts, variations, and related documentation
- Maintaining contract records, project files, and compliance documentation
- Assisting with project cost tracking, invoicing, progress claims, and budget monitoring
- Supporting tender preparation, contract submissions, and procurement documentation
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation to support project administration
- Monitoring contractor performance and contractual obligations
- Assisting Project Managers and senior management with reporting and project coordination
- Supporting WHS, quality assurance, environmental, and risk management documentation
- Preparing schedules, reports, correspondence, and project administration records
- Responding to contractual and project-related inquiries and resolving administrative issues
- Supporting construction planning and material coordination processes
Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant qualification such as a Diploma or higher qualification in Building and Construction, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in contract administration or construction project administration
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and project documentation processes
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Experience with progress claims, cost tracking, and contractor coordination
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction administration systems
Desirable
- Experience within construction, cladding, façade, or building materials industries
- Knowledge of Australian construction standards and compliance requirements
- Ability to speak a second language will be considered an advantage due to the diverse client and contractor base
