What’s the role?
Drive the design and delivery of infrastructure solutions across complex enterprise environments, ideally within the Banking and Financial Services sector. The role requires the ability to develop cost-effective technology strategies, clearly articulate architectural direction, and build strong stakeholder alignment through effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
Play a key role in infrastructure transformation initiatives, with a focus on modernising legacy and end-of-support on-premises platforms. Experience delivering large-scale migration programs to supported technologies while minimising business disruption, operational risk and maintaining service continuity will be highly regarded.
Please note, this is a 12 month fixed-term contract position.
What do I need?
For this 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity , the following technical skills and experience are required:
- Experience designing and delivering fit-for-purpose solutions across midrange environments, including Windows, Linux and AIX.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise database technologies, including Oracle, SQL Server and DB2.
- Experience with container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Expertise across middleware technologies, including JBoss, Tomcat, WebSphere Application Server (WAS), MQ and Kafka.
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking technologies, including F5, Check Point, Juniper, Cisco, DNS and TCP/IP.
- Experience with enterprise storage platforms such as EMC and NetApp.
- Knowledge of virtualisation and converged infrastructure technologies, including VMware, VBlock, SDN and NSX.
- Strong understanding of security infrastructure, including PKI, WebSEAL, Active Directory, Entra ID, Ping Identity and Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
- Experience applying DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Git and Bitbucket.
- Experience designing solutions across public cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure. Cloud architecture certifications are highly regarded.
