Sandwich Shop All-Rounder Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Sandwich Shop All-Rounder to join our team. This is a hands-on role that involves food preparation, coffee making, customer service, and general shop operations. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to assist across all areas of the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare a variety of fresh sandwiches, wraps, rolls, and other menu items.
- Make coffee and café-style beverages to a high standard.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, and food slicers.
- Prepare ingredients, including slicing meats, preparing vegetables, and completing daily food prep tasks.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to company standards.
Customer Service
- Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Assist customers with menu selections and product enquiries.
- Manage and complete online delivery orders, including Uber Eats and other delivery platforms.
Shop Operations
- Assist with opening procedures, including preparing the shop for daily trade.
- Restock food, beverages, and supplies as required.
- Monitor product quality and freshness throughout the day.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Clean equipment, food preparation areas, and customer service areas throughout the shift.
- Complete end-of-shift cleaning duties and ensure the shop is ready for the next trading day.
Skills & Experience Essential
- Previous experience in a café, sandwich shop, takeaway, or hospitality environment.
- Ability to make espresso coffee and café-style drinks.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
Desirable
- Experience operating grills, fryers, and food slicers.
- Barista qualification or relevant hospitality training.

Employment Details
