Position
The Team Leader – NDIS is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and leadership of disability support staff to ensure high-quality, participant-centred services in line with the NDIS Practice Standards and organisational policies.
The role ensures participants receive safe, respectful, and outcome-focused support that promotes independence, dignity, and choice.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Supervision
- Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to Support Workers.
- Conduct regular staff supervision meetings and performance reviews.
- Mentor, coach, and support staff development.
- Address performance concerns in line with HR processes.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage and assist with roster coordination.
Participant Support & Service Delivery
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with individual Support Plans.
- Monitor participant outcomes and ensure goal progression.
- Support participants with complex needs where required.
- Conduct incident reviews and ensure proper documentation.
- Liaise with families, guardians, Support Coordinators, and allied health professionals.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Complete Monthly participant progress reports:
- Monitor shifts Progress notes
- Monitor Incident reports
- Update Risk assessments
- Behaviour support plans are in place and available for staff
- Ensure restrictive practices are implemented and reported appropriately.
- Assist with internal audits and NDIS audits.
4. Operational Responsibilities
- Assist with roster management and coverage for sick calls.
- Monitor staff attendance and punctuality.
- Ensure timely completion of ShiftCare (or relevant CRM) documentation.
- Escalate serious incidents to management promptly.
- Support cost control and efficient service delivery.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential:
- AHPRA, Certificate in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in disability services.
- Demonstrated leadership or senior support worker experience.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS framework.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
Desirable:
- Experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL).
- Experience working with complex behaviours.
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $44.00 – $54.00 per hour
