A logistics company based on the Sunshine Coast is looking for an experienced heavy vehicle fleet mechanics to maintain their heavy commercial vehicles.

These are permanent full time positions with a 38 hour week plus overtime as required
The Fleet Mechanic’s duties and responsibilities include:
· Perform repair and maintenance of our trucks, trailers and other equipment in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
· Perform detailed inspections of vehicles and equipment and correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventive maintenance on company owned equipment.
· Perform fabrication and repair component parts.
· Identify and repair or report worn or failed components, etc.
· Maintain accurate records (time, repair orders and parts usage) on computer.
· Work reasonable overtime when required
Skills and Experience Required
To be eligible for this role, applicants must:
- possess an Australian Certificate III as a Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) or recognised equivalent.
- minimum 5 years’ experience
- have basic experience in welding processes
- have experience in thermal cutting processes
- Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to basic wiring, control wiring and hydraulic systems.
- Full drivers license – HR licence is preferred
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as required
