Managing Director
Location: Horsham, Victoria
Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water Corporation (GWMWater) is seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead one of Victoria's most significant regional water utilities, serving over 72,000 customers, managing 185 dams and a $2.37 billion asset base.
This is a pivotal leadership appointment at a moment of genuine opportunity and change in the water sector. The incoming MD will steer the organisation through its Essential Services Commission pricing submission, infrastructure development such as overseeing major Rural Pipeline Projects, and advancing GWMWater's agenda on long-term water security, renewable energy, and emerging commercial opportunities in the region. This requires an MD with sound judgement, a strategic mindset and strong commercial acumen.
Accountable to the Board the MD will develop, empower and lead a capable Executive Leadership Team, setting strategic direction, enhancing culture, and representing GWMWater across government, community, and a complex stakeholder environment spanning DEECA, 13 local councils, and multiple regulatory authorities. An outgoing, energetic and passionate MD will thrive in this environment.
We are seeking a proven leader with intellectual rigour, and the composure to lead in a regulated, community-facing environment. Broad experience in asset intensive, customer centric service providers is fundamental to the success of this role, as is a genuine commitment to community.
