About the role
Exclusive opportunity for a Shift Fitter - Rotating Shift to join our team at our Oxley site. You will be working on
- 2 days - 6:00am to 6:00pm
- 2 nights - 6:00pm to 6:00am
- 4 days off
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Shift Fitter will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for:
- Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that plant performance and other targets are achieved across the operation
- Follow maintenance plans within the Weekly Maintenance Plan Process as instructed by Maintenance Supervisor
- Use your skills as an Tradesmen effectively so that budgeted plant performance is achieved
- Identify and contribute improvement ideas.
- Where applicable contribute to the daily planning process
- Be "cost focussed" by ensuring equipment is maintained effectively.
- Display ownership of the equipment you work on "treat it like you own it".
What you bring to the role
- Mechanical trade license or similar (Fitter/turner, Boilermaker, Plant mechanic, HV Diesel Mechanic) that has previous experience as a Fitter within a manufacturing environment
- Previous exposure within industrial manufacturing with routine & breakdown experience
- Confined spaced & WAH - preferred
- Dogging Desirable
- Strong safety focus
- SAP maintenance system proficiency would be advantageous, training will be provided as required.
- First Aid, Forklift, and Elevated Work Platform certifications
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- A hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team
