This is a new opportunity within a dynamic and small Dermatology Department at the Chiildren's Hospital - Westmead. This role is largely outpatient based.
What you'll be doing
The Administrative Officer provides administrative and clerical support to the Department of Dermatology, to facilitate the effective operation of the department’s clinical services. The role coordinates outpatient clinics, manages correspondence and referrals, and maintains accurate patient records and databases to support high-quality and efficient service delivery in accordance with NSW Health policies and procedures.
The position applies established procedures, sound organisational skills, and attention to detail to manage routine administrative activities and support efficient and customer-focused operations.

Demonstrated experience in an administrative role within a hospital/medical environment or similar.

Demonstrated ability to use initiative, and work independently, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word and Outlook.

Superior organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a high-volume workload.

Excellent timely and accurate typing and data entry skills.

Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage difficult or stressful situations while maintaining patient confidentiality.
