Sydney School of Sound is a music school that offers tuition for individuals and schools in NSW. Due to increasing demand from parents within schools, we are looking for piano and drum tutors.
Job type: Contract
Hours of Work: Teaching load determined by student enrolments and tutor availability
Key responsibilities:
- Tutoring weekly one-to-one or semi-private lessons to students from Primary to High School (K-12)
- Before- and after-school teaching available, depending on student and tutor availability. Potential for tutoring during school hours
- Tutoring mixed-ability students. We strive to provide students of all learning needs with a creative and fun musical experience
Requirements:
- Hold or be currently completing a relevant bachelor's degree (e.g. B/Music or Education), OR demonstrate equivalent professional experience/qualifications (e.g. AMEB, Trinity, or industry performance experience). Classical training for piano preferred.
- Ability to read and write music notation
- Ability and willingness to teach students of all ages
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Have a Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
- Have an ABN
- Have a right to work in Australia
