Yilli Rreung Housing Aboriginal Corporation is committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities through quality housing services. We are seeking a motivated and organised Property Officer to join our Housing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in property, housing or tenancy management who is passionate about making a positive difference within the community.
As a Property Officer, you will be responsible for managing tenancy and property-related matters across our housing portfolio. You will work closely with tenants, contractors, community organisations and internal teams to ensure high-quality housing services are delivered.
- Manage tenancy applications, agreements and property allocations.
- Coordinate property maintenance and issue work orders.
- Conduct routine property inspections.
- Monitor rental payments and assist with rental arrears.
- Liaise with tenants, contractors, government agencies and community organisations.
- Maintain accurate tenancy records and reports.
- Provide general property administration and support.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in property management, housing, tenancy management or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A current driver’s licence.
- A willingness to obtain a National Police Check and OCHRE Card.
A Certificate IV in Property Services or a related qualification is highly regarded.
