About the Role
Join a supportive laboratory team where your scientific expertise will help deliver accurate, timely and high-quality diagnostic services in a dedicated night shift role. As a Medical Scientist, you’ll apply your technical knowledge across a broad range of laboratory activities while supporting overnight service delivery, quality management and exceptional client care.
Working in a fast-paced diagnostic environment, you’ll perform routine testing, review results, support new methods and equipment implementation, and help maintain efficient laboratory operations after hours. You’ll collaborate closely with senior staff and clients while contributing to quality assurance, safe laboratory practices and reliable overnight diagnostic services.
- Perform routine diagnostic testing and result analysis
- Prioritise urgent work to meet clinical timeframes
- Support new methods, equipment and procedures
- Maintain laboratory equipment and quality systems
- Liaise with clients on specimen and test enquiries
- Contribute to staff training and team support
- Assist inventory, specimen storage and housekeeping
- Drive quality improvement and risk management activities
About You
You’re a detail-focused and proactive professional who enjoys working collaboratively to deliver accurate and reliable diagnostic services.
- Relevant pathology science qualification recognised by NPAAC
- Skilled in diagnostic testing and laboratory equipment use
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Confident using laboratory systems and software
- Committed to quality, teamwork and customer service
