About the Business Unit:
System Governance is a business unit within the Justice System Coordination and Reform branch of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS).
There are two teams in System Governance:

Honorary Justice Services Support (HJSS) – oversees Victoria's volunteer honorary justice program and provides comprehensive support to justices of the peace and bail justices to ensure the delivery of accessible, high-quality justice services.

Governance and Appointments – manages high priority judicial and board appointments within the Attorney-General's portfolio. This team also oversees strategic reviews and provides secretariat support to the Appeal Costs Board and the Judicial Entitlements Panel.
About the Role:
The Senior Stakeholder and Engagement Officer in HJSS is responsible for leading stakeholder engagement and communications to support strong relationships with honorary justices and key internal and external partners. The role provides high-quality, expert advice to inform engagement strategies, strengthen volunteer engagement practices and support consistent, coordinated communication across HJSS functions.
Some of your duties will include:

Lead stakeholder engagement, communication and advice to support honorary justices and strengthen key relationships

Improve service delivery for honorary justices through effective business processes, systems and administrative practices

Support team leadership and broader organisational priorities through collaboration, flexibility and a strong commitment to VPS values.

About You:

Demonstrated knowledge of implications of service delivery within legislative frameworks

Demonstrated experience in a policy environment, in either the public or community sector

Demonstrated project management skills

A strong understanding of volunteerism is desirable
