About the role:
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a collection of integrated applications or modules. These are designed to automate the business operations of an organisation (especially in the area of accounting and human resources). This helps the enterprise manage more effectively activities related to the delivery of core services alongside organisational engagement with a multitude of partners and stakeholders.
The Project Officer will support the coordination and delivery of initiatives under the ERP. The role will contribute to key project activities including governance, assurance, and mobilisation, helping to ensure the project is well-positioned to progress through delivery in and structured and controlled manner. This includes assisting with project planning, maintaining project documentation, monitoring risks and issues, and supporting reporting requirements.
Working closely with the ERP Senior Project Officer, project team members, and stakeholders, the Project officer will provide day-to-day support to facilitate effective project delivery and governance. The role will assist in preparing briefings, status reports, governance artefacts, and stakeholder communications, while contributing to delivery readiness and implementation activities.

Your duties will include:

Manage aspects of assigned project activities and business initiatives under limited direction to support achievement of project objectives.

Coordinate workshops, meetings, and project activities, including preparation of agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.

Support preparation of reports, analysis papers, and project documentation for governance and reporting purposes.

Support Project Leads to maintain project artefacts in relation to governance, budget, scope, schedule, risks and issues, communication and stakeholders.

Provide project coordination and delivery support to assist the Senior Project Officer and broader project team.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships, ongoing communication, consultation and successful negotiations with key personnel across business units, Commands and Divisions as well as other police and Government agencies.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

Proven project management support experience and capability including the ability to achieve objectives within tight timeframes.

Ability to priorit ise tasks and complete tasks to meet deadlines under limited supervision.

Ability to effectively and flexibly operate in a dynamic and fast paced project environment.
-
Well-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to write high quality written materials and brief team members and stakeholders.

Ability to monitor stakeholder satisfaction and manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and project team.

Ability to understand and apply relevant legislation, policies, public sector issues and procedures in a complex environment.

Proven ability to use initiative to influence others to drive positive change in the work area.

A relevant tertiary education would be desirable, but not essential.

This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
