Nextzen Taxation Pty Ltd is a reputable Australian tax and accounting firm providing professional accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients. We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our Business Services and Advisory team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced accounting professionals while supporting clients across a range of industries and business structures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns, FBT, BAS/IAS and Payroll Tax.
- Manage tax and accounting compliance for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and SMSFs.
- Analyse financial information, income, expenses and operating costs.
- Conduct financial investigations and identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Prepare budgets, management reports and accounting procedures.
- Provide tax planning, accounting and business advisory services.
- Monitor client performance and provide practical financial advice.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Identify additional client needs and business opportunities.
- Liaise with the ATO, ASIC and other stakeholders on client matters.
- Train and mentor team members and support knowledge development.
- Use Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Reckon, Handisoft and Thomson Reuters Software Assistant.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Business Services accounting. With Strong knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or a related field and working towards CA or CPA qualification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in APS, MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, Reckon, Handisoft and Thomson Reuters Software Assistant.
- Australian work rights, citizenship or permanent residency.
