The Opportunity
Join the City of Perth and lead a dedicated team committed to enhancing community safety in the heart of our vibrant city. As a Citywatch Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing CCTV operations, leading surveillance staff, and ensuring the effective monitoring and response to incidents that help keep Perth safe and welcoming.
Reporting to the Coordinator Surveillance within our Community Safety and Amenity Team, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership to the Citywatch surveillance team, encourage teamwork and cooperation and monitor health, wellbeing and staff morale;
- Attend court and meetings as required and monitor and record court appearances of the Surveillance team;
- Develop a positive working culture and ensure section alignment with the Unit’s strategic direction; and
- Supervise all aspects of CCTV operation in accordance with Council policies, procedures, Code of Practice and Code of Conduct.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Experience developing a highly efficient and effective team through a coaching and mentoring approach;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution;
- High level Microsoft Office skills, in particular the management and maintenance of spread sheets and databases;
- Ability to perform calmly and effectively in emergency and stressful situations; and
- Experience training team members.
