Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will support daily kitchen operations and ensure the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality meals.
Key Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Assist in coordinating food preparation and service to ensure timely delivery during busy service periods
- Ensure all dishes are presented to a high standard of quality and consistency
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with food safety standards
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues
Skills and Requirements
- Relevant qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, full-service kitchen
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency in food preparation
