Are you a good electrician who's ready for more responsibility — but doesn't want to spend the next five years doing the same thing every day?
Volts Above Electrical is growing, and we're looking for an experienced electrician who can become a key part of that growth.
You might already be running jobs as a Leading Hand.
Or you might be the electrician on site who everyone already comes to when something needs to be worked out.
Either way, we're looking for someone who can take ownership, solve problems, work with clients and builders, and help lead the younger guys in the team.
In return, we'll give you the opportunity to develop into a genuine leadership position as the company grows.
What You'll Get

We'll also invest in additional licences and training that make you more valuable, including EWP, Working at Heights, Traffic Control, Confined Space, HR Licence, Rigging & Dogging, CPR/LVR and First Aid.
The Role
You'll gradually take ownership of jobs and help coordinate the team around you.
We're not looking for someone who knows everything.
We're looking for someone who's capable, reliable, takes pride in their work and wants to keep getting better.
The Work
One of the biggest advantages of this role is variety.
Our projects include:
- High-end residential
- Commercial electrical
- Service and maintenance
- Civil electrical
- Motorway lighting
- Traffic signals
- Government infrastructure
Most work is across Sydney, with some infrastructure projects requiring night work during road closures and occasional away work throughout NSW.
Accommodation and applicable allowances are provided for away work.
What We're Looking For
You'll need:
- NSW Electrical Licence
- Driver Licence
- White Card
- CPR/LVR
- First Aid
- Strong fault-finding ability
- Good communication skills
- Pride in your workmanship
- The ability to work without someone looking over your shoulder
Experience running jobs is highly regarded, but it isn't essential.
If you're a strong electrician who's ready to step up, we want to hear from you.
EWP, Working at Heights, Traffic Control, HR Licence and civil/infrastructure experience are all advantageous — but we can provide training for the right person.
