Position Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Process Worker to join our fruit and vegetable processing team. The role involves preparing, cutting, washing, packing, and handling fresh produce while also operating basic food processing machinery. The successful applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced food production environment and follow food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, peel, slice, dice, and prepare fruit and vegetables according to production requirements.
- Operate fruit and vegetable processing machinery safely and correctly.
- Wash, sort, trim, and inspect produce to ensure quality standards are met.
- Pack finished products into bags, containers, or cartons as required.
- Follow daily production schedules and complete tasks within required timeframes.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work area during and after production.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and workplace hygiene procedures.
- Check produce for damage, spoilage, contamination, or poor quality.
- Report any machinery issues, product defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Assist with stock rotation, labelling, weighing, and product identification.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including safe knife handling and machine operation.
- Work as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
Pay: $32.00 – $56.08 per hour
