We’re looking for an experienced leader who can confidently motivate teams, build strong relationships, and create an environment where people can perform at their best.
While direct industry experience in civil, construction, mining or industrial environments will be highly regarded, we understand strong leadership skills can come from a range of backgrounds. What’s important is that you have a genuine interest in the industry and can see yourself leading teams within a fast-paced operational environment.
You’ll ideally bring:

Demonstrated experience leading and developing large teams in complex operational environments
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, mentor and support people
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for creating positive team cultures and supporting employee wellbeing
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes through people
- Experience managing stakeholders and building strong client relationships
- A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Experience within civil, construction, mining or industrial sectors is advantageous but not essential
- Tertiary qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory
Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and support large teams to achieve safe, productive and high-quality outcomes
- Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability, collaboration and performance
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to Supervisors and operational teams
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and internal teams
- Coordinate people, resources and operational activities to support successful project delivery
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance team performance and efficiencies
- Support workforce planning, employee development and succession initiatives
- Promote and uphold AESTEC’s commitment to safety, quality and employee wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with AESTEC Management to align operational outcomes with business objectives
- Support contract delivery and operational performance while ensuring our people remain at the centre of decision-making
You’ll be supported by experienced supervisors and operational teams with strong technical expertise, allowing you to focus on what you do best — leading people, building capability, and driving team performance.
