Prairiewood High School is a co-educational, partially selective, comprehensive secondary school located in Wetherill Park in Sydney's South-West region on Dharug land. The school has a stable enrolment of approximately 1350. This includes 60 students each year in the selective stream and four Support Unit (Autism and IO) classes across Years 7 to 12. 87% of students have a language background other than English, and students represent 30 countries of origin. Approximately 50% of the student population requires English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) support, which has been steadily increasing. Currently, 25 students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background. The school has approximately 95 teaching and 18 non-teaching staff.

Demonstrated educational and organisational leadership to lead a Mathematics faculty, including effective curriculum, assessment and reporting practices, syllabus implementation, explicit teaching, differentiation, and the strategic use of evidence and student data to improve learning outcomes for all students.
Proven capacity to lead improvement and build teacher capacity within Mathematics through collaborative practice, mentoring, professional learning and evidence-informed feedback that develops teacher expertise and supports consistent, high-impact classroom practice across the faculty.
Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively as a dynamic member of the school executive team to lead and implement whole-school initiatives that drive strategic improvement, using evidence, evaluation and effective planning to address school and system priorities and improve outcomes for students and staff.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to lead and foster a culture of trust, high expectations and continuous improvement, while building strong, positive relationships with staff, students, parents/carers and the wider community and contribute strategically to a positive, inclusive and collaborative school culture.
