The North Heidelberg Football Club affiliated in Division 1 of the NFNL is seeking expressions of interest for the role of senior men’s football coach in season 2027.
The senior team currently whilst in the lower half of the ladder, season to date offers future trajectory growth on the proviso of continued development with a list comprising of a number of senior players U22 that we believe are our next generation of players that can take the club to a level of sustainability and success.
Having been a consistent performer at senior level, finishing no lower than sixth place since our readmission into D1 in 2018 the immediate period will be a development phase measuring internal improvement within our playing list supplemented by those external that will add depth to the squad.
The club will be entering a new era with the completion of its new pavilion expected to be open for business in April/May 2027 that will coincide with the clubs new strategic plan and continuing our recent success of having a strong pathway for youth seeking to elevate into senior ranks.
The ideal candidate for the senior coaching role will need to demonstrate the following attributes to be considered.
- A passion for driving a strong and inclusive club culture across all teams.
- A well-developed game plan to be implemented with a clear and consistent approach that is adaptable to modern day game style and list availability.
- A structured, organised and disciplined approach to both training sessions and match day experience.
- A strong educator who is an excellent communicator both on and off field who values player and personal development.
- The ability to provide guidance and direction when necessary and work within a team environment with our remaining panel of head and assistant coaching panel at the club.
- Level 2 AFL Victoria coaching accreditation is mandatory.
- The ability to communicate when required towards the saleability and promotion of the club with various stakeholders both internal and external.
