The Facility Manager oversees the overall management and operations of the aquatic and recreational centre, ensuring the successful delivery of L+R Group's services, administration, employment operations, financial targets, and program outcomes
WORK TASKS + RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach and develop staff through performance planning and individual development plans.
- Lead and drive a high-performance, community-minded culture through visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
- Achieve budgeted and performance factor targets.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders: councils, employees, and clubs.
- Manage the facility in a way that the community will love.
- Recruit and develop employees as required to complement the team and the vision for the facility.
- Schedule and organise company inductions and training for new staff.
- Identify staff and develop career progression paths that lead to transparent and effective succession decisions when required.
- Maintain a strong understanding of facility operational contract requirements and responsibilities.
- Manage daily work routines and checks.
- Provide a child-safe environment in reference to the 10 Child Safe Principles.
- Ensure food safety practices are being maintained in the operations of the kiosk.
- Maintain NSW Health requirements as per the Swimming Pools Advisory Document.
- Create a safe workplace as required by the WHS Act.
- Manage financial tracking of facility revenue and expenses.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of policies, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and deliver company programs, events, and activities.
- Effectively manage workforce operations using TANDA, including payroll, rostering, qualifications, scheduled audits, assets & forms
- Oversee facility software systems.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the manager's handbook and company processes.
- Deliver company services, including Waterschool, community activities, and Wriggly Bean.
- Uphold L+R Group’s management focus points: Supportive, Integrity, Communication, Respect.
- Ensure staff maintain their key focus areas: Clean, Friendly, Safe, Organised and Active.
