Australian Hammer Supplies Hire specialise in providing market leading excavator hire and excavator mounted attachment hire solutions.
We are conveniently based just off the M5 at Ingleburn and are seeking a hands-on Transport Allocator to manage our daily transport operations.
This is a workshop-based role, overseeing our drivers, deliveries, pickups, and fleet operations.
What you’ll do:
- Allocate drivers and hire equipment for deliveries and collections.
- Plan safe and efficient transport routes.
- Monitor fleet via GPS and ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate with customers, subcontractors, and the team to keep operations running smoothly.
- Conduct stock takes of equipment to maintain accurate inventory.
- Continuously evaluate and improve dispatch processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Ensure in/out areas are clean, organised, and up to date, with all equipment going out.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and safety standards.
- Organise third-party transport as needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in transport/logistics coordination, preferably in the hire industry.
- Experience with Transport Management Systems, GPS tracking, and managing drivers/equipment.
- Strong organisational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- High-Risk Forklift Licence (LF) and right to work in Australia.
- Certificate of Attainment, Operate Gantry Crane and Conducting Lifting Operations or High-Risk Dogging Licence (DG) (Advantage)
- Tertiary qualifications in logistics or transport management are a plus.
- Undertake and pass without restriction, a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening.
