The Role
We’re currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and at least one full year of nursing experience.
The Registered Nurse performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing management.
Our Location
Kirkconnell is a suburb in Central West NSW, located 180km west of Sydney between Lithgow and Bathurst. Kirkconnell Correction Centre first opened as an afforestation camp in 1958. The centre can house up to 196 inmates and has a heavy focus on rehabilitation. Inmates participate in education, employment and external leave programs. This facility also includes a highly recognised horticulture program that supplies produce and flowers to local charities.
Kirkconnell also features an Aboriginal Culture program and a bushfire fighting team.
