About Us
Supreme Caravans Pty Ltd is an Australian caravan manufacturing business based in Campbellfield, Victoria. We specialise in the design and manufacture of quality caravans and caravan components.
We are currently seeking a motivated and technically skilled CNC Designer to join our manufacturing and design team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
As a CNC Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing caravan components and products, preparing detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD, and developing and modifying CNC programs to support manufacturing.
You will work closely with the production and manufacturing team to ensure designs are accurate, practical and suitable for efficient CNC production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and modify caravan products, components and assemblies using AutoCAD.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Develop and modify CNC programs for production.
- Translate design concepts and manufacturing requirements into accurate technical drawings.
- Review existing designs and make modifications to improve product quality, functionality and manufacturability.
- Interpret technical drawings, dimensions, specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Work closely with production staff to ensure designs are suitable for CNC manufacturing.
- Identify and resolve design, technical and manufacturing issues.
- Assist with product development and continuous design improvement.
- Assist in developing efficient manufacturing solutions for new and existing products.
- Ensure designs meet required dimensions, tolerances and production specifications.
- Maintain accurate CAD files, drawings and technical documentation.
- Support the implementation of design changes and improvements within the manufacturing process.
- Communicate effectively with production and other team members regarding design and manufacturing requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in CNC design, CAD drafting, product design or a related manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD for technical and product design.
- Experience with CNC programming and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and design requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A relevant degree or qualification in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, CAD Design or a related field will be highly regarded.
What We Offer
- Full-time permanent employment.
- $80,000 – $85,000 (+ superannuation)
- Location in Campbellfield, Victoria.
